Dan schaffen we toch gewoon dierendag af! Dan kan Florisje ook niet meer zeuren dat het 'heel tegenstrijdig' is

Nederlander eet gemiddeld tijdens een mensenleven 522 dieren op. Dat meldt de Nederlandse Vegetariërsbond. “Op dierendag vertroetelen we onze hond of kat, maar we eten gedurende ons leven ook 522 dieren die over het algemeen een zeer miserabel leven hebben geleid. Daar zit iets heel tegenstrijdigs in!”, zegt Floris de Graad, directeur Nederlandse Vegetariërsbond, tegenover RTV Rijnmond. Meer gespecificeerd gaat het om drie runderen, 2,5 lammeren, 27 varkens en 490 kippen, zo rekende de bond uit.

Daarmee heeft Floris de Graad een punt. Hij wil natuurlijk dat we nu allemaal vegetariërs worden, maar het kan ook anders. Als we nu gewoon zorgen dat het niet tegenstrijdig wordt, gewoon geen dierendag meer vieren! Dan kan Florisje ook niet meer zeuren dat het 'heel tegenstrijdig' is.

Bovendien is het van Floris de Graad wel heel kortzichtig om alleen landdieren en gevogelte 'dieren' te noemen. Hiermee zegt hij gewoon dat vissen geen dieren zijn. Maar goed daarmee proberen de zogenaamde vegetariërs wel vaker weg te komen...
